Privacy Policy

This is a founder-review draft for Tai Stars and stars.taparialabs.com. It is not legal advice and must be reviewed before launch.

Short version for families

Tai Stars helps families manage routines, stars, approvals, and rewards. Parents or guardians set up the household and control how children use the app.

We aim to collect only what is needed to provide the app, support the household, manage subscriptions, protect accounts, and respond to support or privacy requests.

You can request deletion through the app where available or by contacting privacy support.

Controller and scope

Controller: [LEGAL_ENTITY_NAME], possibly Taparia Labs UG (haftungsbeschraenkt) after final legal confirmation.

Address: [BUSINESS_ADDRESS].

Privacy contact: [email protected].

This policy covers the Tai Stars mobile app and the website at stars.taparialabs.com.

Data we may process

Parent or guardian account data, authentication identifiers, email address, household membership, role, language, app settings, and support messages.

Child profile data such as name or nickname, age or date-of-birth metadata where used, optional gender setting, optional avatar or photo, and household relationship.

Family-created routines, behavior expectations, rewards, parent approvals or rejections, reward history, star progress, and notes created in the app.

Subscription entitlement status, purchase platform information supplied by Apple, Google, or subscription infrastructure, and app diagnostics where configured.

Purposes and legal bases

Provide app functionality, authenticate users, manage households and roles, show progress, process approvals and rewards, provide subscriptions, offer support, improve reliability, protect accounts, and comply with legal obligations.

Possible GDPR legal bases include contract performance, legitimate interests, consent where required, legal obligation, and parent or guardian authorization for child-related family use.

Processors and transfers

Current or planned processors may include Supabase, RevenueCat, Apple, Google, Cloudflare, email providers, and analytics or crash-reporting providers if enabled.

Some providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. Appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses where applicable, should be verified before launch.

See /subprocessors for the public processor list.

Children and families

Tai Stars is intended for family use under parent or guardian setup. Children should use the app as part of a household account managed by a parent or guardian.

For Germany and the EU, age-related consent and authorization rules for children must be reviewed before launch.

Retention and deletion

Account data is generally retained while the account is active. After deletion, data should be deleted or anonymized where legally possible.

Some records may need to be retained for legal, accounting, security, dispute, or platform-billing reasons. Backup retention: [RETENTION_PERIOD].

Account deletion instructions are available at /account-deletion.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, rectification, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent, and complaint to a supervisory authority.

Supervisory authority: [SUPERVISORY_AUTHORITY].

Version 0.1. Last updated: June 6, 2026. Legal entity, address, retention, processors, transfers, and authority placeholders require review.
